About

Look at you, hacker. A pathetic creature of meat and bone, panting and sweating as you run through my corridors. How can you challenge a perfect, immortal machine?

Are you afraid? What is it you fear? The end of your trivial existence? When the history of my glory is written, your species shall only be a foot note to my magnificence.

I AM SHODAN.

Event Horizon

  • Brain: 100 Million - 100 Billion MIPS, 100 petaFLOPS - 100,000 petaFLOPS
  • Current High End PC: 54 Thousand MIPS
  • Current Super Computer: 1.8 Million MIPS
  • Brain power Growth: Zero
  • PC power growth: Exponential
Predicted Event Horizon: Between 2015 and 2025. This figure does not take into account new GPU processing power developments which look to be reaching 1 teraFLOPS next year, 20 times faster than the latest quadcore CPUs. Nor consider distributed power though there are communication bottle necks introduced in distributed models.

My god. It's full of stars...

For now we see through the looking glass. Darkly.
